#776572 xe esp scuff plates WANTED !

Posted by nickd on 16 September 2014 - 10:55 PM

These were an aftermarket scuff plate that you could buy from any automotive store as Ford would offer you the Motorcraft Scuff plate or the Metrix Brand.

My assumption would be that someone has either replaced the original ESP/Ghia/Fairmont/Fairlane/LTD style ones that were dealer fitted to the pictures you've posted up.

Hope this helps.

Very good looking XD Ghia sounds nice as, only thing I would do to it would be to remove the clear indicators and rear XE tail lights to XD Tail lights and Orange front indicators but each to there own.

Thanks for the info its made me look a bit harder and i found this post on another forum
jet (Australian Ford Forums) wrote:G'day,I recently purchased an XE Dick Johnson Grand Prix Turbo falcon. I have limited info on these vehicles and am interested in any information on these that is out there. What I know is that there were 36 cars built that were all blue except for 6 that were red and based on the Fairmont Ghia. I am unsure if all these were turbo cars as the car was available without the turbo. I have contacted the DJR organisation but they were not very helpful. My car is production No 32. Any info appreciated.
May be this is one of the red cars

Definitely not 1 of the Red Dick Johnston cars.
I nearly bought his car 6 years ago as it was for sale in Adelaide and have pictures to prove it.
The car was fitted with a turbo option from the dealer (was a aftermarket version) but definitely a turbo car.

Best of luck with sale hope someone buys it to restore.
