So as of recent, driving at night with the headlights on is killing my battery.

Got to the point where a 20 minute drive, would cause the car not to start instantly after stopping..

Is it simply the alternator not giving enough juice so its drawing from the battery?

I tried driving with all other accessories off, and only headlights, still killed it.

Strangely enough driving around all day with the radio, air-con, phone charging through cigarette input etc won't kill the battery. As soon as the headlights are on however, goodbye..haha

Has anyone had a similar issue with an x-series?

is it a case of a new/repaired alternator? or is there something else as well going on, i.e. headlights drawing too much power?

Going to see if i can get my hands on a multi-meter..

edit: forget to mention, its an XF sedan
