Ive got a 302c, 30 thou o/size, forged flat top pistons, acl race bearings, 4v closed chamber heads, reasonably aggressive cam, stainless valves. 4 spd manual and 2.92 diff.Looking at a 650 holley with vac secondarys. Is this carb gonna be too big for a street car?

650 should be fine, a few tweaks with power valve and jetting

It's bench racing but I'd go Annular boosters..on a 650 mechanicle secondary with a manual.

Agree its a intresting combo

4v heads on a 302, aggressive cam, 2:92 diff gears

Saving grace the manual ?

Cheers. I was looking at a holley 650 spread bore but i missed on the auction. So i managed to find a 600 for dirt cheap. Threw a rebuild kit at it, bolted it on, tuned it wit a vacuume gauge and it seems to run sweet. Doesnt bog down when u stab the gas pedal anymore. Yea its pretty interesting to drive, to be honest, its a right arse to drive around town cos of the cam.

you need more diff gears....if that's not a 9" it won't last long anyway

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Yea it runs out of gears at about 210kmh. Only got a 4spd single rail box out of a xd and a xf ute lsd which was originaly 3.23. Its not really a lsd anymore, shes a bit sloppy now. Its already managed to slightly bend 1 axle, and twist the splines on another 1.
