i've been looking at the ad for the last few months and to my surprise it hasnt sold. has anyone looked at it? is there something wrong with it? i have a possible buyer for my car and i'll consider flying over to check it out once the money is in my bank but just wondering if anyone knows anything about it.

It has been sitting there for a while on gumtree, looks fairly clean in the photos. Probably best to go see it for yourself man :)

its not exactly a well sort after car. It has to appeal to a person who is after a XE Fairmont ghia, such as yourself. Since you are, I would look at this one in Adelaide.

Want to know Why they're not selling? The price.
Xe fairmont ghias are a well sort after car, especially factory v8. I've seen some go for 5-6k.
But 12 grand is too much. Around 15k, even a little less can get you a matching numbers, factory v8 Xe ESP which is even better than the fairmont ghias.
they're nice yes, but the price is to high.

This one is 16k, but you get the idea on why they don't really sell..

yeah that silver one is nice. it was up for 12k a while back and didnt sell. dunno why he's hiked the price.

the adelaide one is very nice as well.

you guys would be disgusted at what people are asking for xd/xe's in WA. its outrageous. and they're steaming piles of shit.

i'd pay 12 for the blue one if it was an xd. i think i'll hold out until the right xd comes along.

this is nice but not keen on paying 13k for something with rust. i think the body is a little more important than drivetrain,

Ive seen the xe with the 460. It lives outside. Looks good from a distance but its not a 13k car. Why not buy a tidy 6 cyl and do your own build??

i think, although they are getting rare, and V8s even rarer, people just arent prepared to spend the money on them.

I know an ex member sold his factory 302, Monza Red XE Ghia for $12500 recently, only months ago. but still i dont thnk people are prepared to spend the money on them.
