Organisers of the highly successful Valvoline Autofest Car Festivals are proud to announce the inclusion of Street Machine Magazine as its official Media Partner for the all new Melbourne event to be known as the "Melbourne Performance Showdown" that is to be staged at the iconic Melbourne Showgrounds from February 8th and 9th 2014.
Street Machine Magazine is a major player within the Australian Motoring Industry and will add a high prestige to the Melbourne Performance Showdown with promotions of the Melbourne as well as the Bathurst Autofest events, in which it is also the Media Partner, both events will be promoted throughout the year within the publication to the Australasian public.
This event will cover all aspects of the Australian Performance Car Scene with Trader information booths from some of the most Recognised names within the industry to High Performance events such as the side by side Action of the Heads Go To Whoa event and let's see who does really does have Melbourne's most Powerful car when its proved on the onsite Dyno Comp. Other events will include the Mayhem that is the Mighty Burnout Competition as well as the judging of the Streetcar and Showcar Supreme.
Melbourne has been missing a true Performance Car Event for far too long and the Autofest Crew have searched high and low to find such a location and were fortunate to meet with the Melbourne
Showgrounds Management and after much deliberation an agreement between the two parties for this event to be staged was reached.
The Valvoline Autofest Series was established in Shepparton Vic by a group of motoring enthusiastâ€™s back in 1990 for the benefit of the regionâ€™s clubs and motor sport lovers and it quickly grew in popularity where today it is one of the largest Motorsport Series of its kind in Australia. The series has been proved to be a considerable boost to the local economyâ€™s wherever visited.
