well its time to start a new project , im sure most of you know my green XD falcon , but this time i wanted to build something more of a toy rather than a showcar.

heres a pic for anyone who hasnt seen it
XDfalcon351-1.jpg

project Juggernaut

Juggernaut - A distructive and unstoppable force

The plan is to build a 351 turbo , with minitubs and 18" billet wheels , triangular 4 link , and a flash paint job just to set it off , im thinking the turbo will be a latter add on as i want to get the car licenced first , the big key here is Budget i want to keep the cost down so i will be doing the whole car myself , panel work, driveline, engine everything

so let the fun begin

it will be done in 3 stages as money allows

stage 1 will be bodywork ,interior, mild engine and licence

stage 2 will be mini tubes and tirangular 4 link , this setup will be engineered for licencing

Stage 3 will be a lower comp engine and turbo combo

so this is what i started with a grampa spec XD bough from this forum for $100 minus Engine and gearbox , score

Not sure what wheels yet ,just no i want 18" x8 and 18"x9" will have to see what the budget allows ,this will be one of the most expensive outlays of the project

looking good with what youve done, im a bit further down the track with mine as well but havent had time to sort pics and update the thread. youve done very sim things to me in the bay, but im unsure on the triangular cutouts above the indicators that you have filled, im thinking of deleting mine also, but im still on the fence
cheers john

thanks John

i know what you mean ive got 400 pics to go through and the cars not finished yet

as far as thr triangles in the engine bay goes i just dont feel any need for them you can still get to the indicators easily , but its one of those things once you've removed them its very hard to undo again

Yeah lookin good brus!!! I've allways wanted to do that but after removing & fitting indicator lenses a few (hundred) times i'm thinking its going to be a lot harder to fit & remove those spring clips???

ok guys heres the pics of the bodywork

it was ment to get a quick respray but every pannel had just a little bit of rust so i ended up sanding the whole car back to bare metal and starting from scratch

the roof had surface rust all over it

rear quarter was dented pretty bad this took a lot to get right

Posted Image

Posted Image

the rhr quarter wasnt to bad the the dogleg was stuffed i had to pull it out about 4cm , but it has had new doors seal and pillar as some stage looks like they just gave up on the dogleg and just bogged it

Posted Image

Posted Image

i dont have any pics of the door stripped back but i replace the LHF and the rest werent that bad
