If this get Sticky can you delete all the normal post & chat (Mine included) so it is just the relevant detail for a cleveland

it would also be usefull to a hydraulic 6 cyl too, and like My Transit, saves having custom clutch cable made for the T5 bell on the 6.

if i had my time over, i'd have tapped the threads in the bell and used a hex head bolt or studs with nuts. so the box can be removed with the bell still on the motor. damn heavy as a combo otherwise

You could use this for either. 6cyl cable and hyd clutch and v8 setup.
You will see in one pic on page 1 that its was done on a x flow as well.

This bit's the easy bit. The T5 rebuild and eventual mods to the crossmember will be more difficult, that's for sure. Haven't done any more on it yet though as I've not had any spare time... or money!

The clutch will be an 11" single plate, same as I run at the moment. Engine's a 351 Cleveland and it's in that rather orange XC wagon you see on the left. So eventually this will all wing it's way into the wagon.

Why the mods to the cross member?

Did you use a Banana from a later model?

Also, which flywheel are you proposing to use?

If I can find one of them, I'll be using it. But chances are I'll figure out a way to use a stock crossmember. Shou;dn't be too hard, but might need a few more tools than a drill and some bolts. Although maybe not... haven't got that far yet. I've seen it done with a banana one, welding tabs on the existing one, making some adapter plates... pleny of options.

Stock Clevo one. The only "non-Clevo" bit I currently have is the T5 itself - everything else will be the using the usual factory parts, I hope. Clutch, flyhweel, clutch fork, everything. The only thing that doesn't "belong" is the T5.

All factory parts in my one,the only thing was a little piece of plate from the centre of the cross member to the rear mount.

Do you mean single rail or toploader?

Isnt the singlerail gearbox clutchcable part on the otherside to the T5?

Or have i got it the wrong way round?

The single raid clutch cable runs beside your extractors, mine got burnt... roflmao, and the ea-eb goes oppiste i believe, correct me if im wrong.

I would hunt this low life cock sucking ***got down and tear his nuts sack open with a bent fork and then wear his scrotus berries as earrings.

Yup, single rail clutch fork is on the drivers side, T5 clutch fork is on the passanger side. The reason for this is the T5s were released on post ADR37 XFs which ran cat convertors right in the road of the clutch fork, so that swapped sides. Eseries continued this pattern.

A wrecker tried to seel my a older style 5 speed for $350 but it was $350 to much LOL
