XY light switch removal

Hi guys, I am having some trouble removing the pull type light switch on the dash of my XY. According to the manual, there should be a clip or button underneath/behind the dash which will allow the switch to be removed. However mine either doesn't exist or is completely encased by the dash itself.

If anyone has any ideas about this your help would be appreciated.

I think there is a grub scre on the actual knob,and then there is a nut type setup on the outside of dash,which is a ******* to get off,you need 2 small screwdrivers.

from memory there is a little button on the large flat side of the switch behind the dash . n the knob comes out with the shaft . try pushing the button n pulling the knob it may take a couple of goes of pushing it in n out to get it to come out .
