Hi guys, just wondering if any of you guys running the GRA Throttle bodies can measure the length of one for me. In the pics they look alot longer then the standard throttle body, and looks like it won't fit. I've got an XF ute with AU motor, EL radiator with fans and an ED manifold. Also has any body fitted a 600X300X100 cooler in their XF. Did you run the pipes between the bumper support and headlight, or down along the bottom of the bumper. Thanks.

i ran my cooler pipes between the headlight and bumper irons, worked a treat, minimal cutting required. The gra carb is a lot longer, ill measure tonight

my gra carb is 15cm from the base to the end, and 21cm from base to the metering rod elbow.

a 600 x 300 x 76 fits. a 10cm thick cooler should fit fine.
post pics of the setup please. sounds good.

Thanks for the replies. I've got 24cm between the radiator and manifold so hopefully the throttle body with the piping will fit. Should get the throttle body and piping next week. As soon ti's fitted i'll get some pics up.
KLR250 Do you have 2.5" or 3" outlets on your cooler.
Thanks guys.

i had 3"
the new setup is 2.5", 3" is overkill, so the new cooler was ordered with 2.5"

Have you tried it with the 2.5" cooler yet? Was the 3" to laggy?

cold side pipes will have minimal effect on lag IMO, mine going from no cooler to cooler, with 3" pipes, made absolutely no noticeable difference to lag or boost response, it just went heaps better, but my turbine side is tiny tiny tiny.
as already said you will fit a 100mm thick core no worries, the best size is the 600x400, but I havent seen them in 100mm thick cores, only the 75. I plan to use the 600x400x75 on mine, it only just fits in every way, so it really fills up the space, and looks horn.

mine was definatly laggy when i fitted the cooler and 3" piping, no cooler, no pipework it was resposive as ****, but i could only get 9psi out of it, cooler and piping went on, lag was sucky, power was awsome, as i could pump 16psi into it. Its a long way from the cooler to the gas carb with the efi manifold, this is half the reason i made a plenum, 3" is definatly not needed unless your chasing more than 500hp, and even then, 2.5" is plenty

just goes to show that for $150 for an ebay cooler, you really cant go wrong, dont know why you wouldnt run one long term.
charles did you pick up the 600x400 of ebay? never seen them on there in that size before only the common as dogs balls 600x300
