lol, dunno how this can be, the green plug you refer to i presume is the spark ouput spout, when this is disconnected the ECU locks the timing at its base of 10deg or where ever its set, you LOSE power, unless you have advanced the dizzy to much

PERFECT!!!!

The ecu will also put the engine into a limp home mode, if there is a eletrical fault on the ecu side, and the timing will be at its base as above 10 deg , .

to tune
warm engine up
disconnect with power off green spout plug
set timing to 10 deg, some use 12 deg, book says 10
reconnect spout
disconnect idle wire plug
set idle if required to manual 700 rpm , higher if auto

Take for a run

Isn't there a plug you need to jumper up near the master cylinder on EFI models which sets the timing back to base?

there is an over ride near the master cylinder that you bridge as the computer controls the timing
with mine after the car warms up and say your driving up the road and u slow down to stop at the light u have to keep you foot on the accelerator or else it cuts out i cant work out what it is i have tried the timing and afm but still does it how many turns should the mixture screw be turned out from the start?? any clue what it is

Warm your motor up , if your timing is 10 deg with green spout plug disconnected,
keep reading
adjust idle screw
if it makes no differents then
disconnect idle control plug
no different
remove solanoid and check with power to it
no movement
replace the eletrical solanoid
start again.
